Chicken and Mozzarella Bites

Serves: 6


  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • ½ cup white onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup carrot, grated
  • ¼ cup basil pesto
  • ⅛ tsp. black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 6 fresh mozzarella pearls
  • 12 tsp. marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil, chopped (optional)



  1. Instructions:
  2. Preheat Air Fryer 3 minutes at 380°F.
  3. In a deep bowl, mix chicken, egg, garlic, onion, carrots, pesto, and pepper. Divide mixture into 6 equal parts.
  4. Brush inside of Metal Cups with olive oil and fill 2/3 high with mixture, leaving space in the middle. Add a mozzarella pearl into center, cover with mixture, and top with a teaspoon of marinara sauce.
  5. Place Metal Cups in Fry Basket. Slide Pan with Fry Basket into Air Fryer and cook for 16 minutes at 380°F.
  6. When cooking cycle is complete, pull Pan with Fry Basket out of Air Fryer. Remove bites from Metal Cups and repeat the process with remaining mixture.
  7. Serve garnished with a teaspoon of marinara sauce and topped with basil.
