Double Patty Turkey Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. 98% fat-free ground turkey
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 whole wheat bun
  • ¼ tomato, sliced
  • ¼ cucumber, sliced
  • ½ cup lettuce

Sauce

  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. In small bowl, combine sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. In large bowl, mix ground turkey with pepper, paprika, salt, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan until combined. Divide meat into two equal parts and form two patties.
  3. To preheated cast iron comal add olive oil and patties and sear at medium-high heat for 6 minutes. Flip patties and cook 6 minutes more.
  4. Toast bun on comal for two minutes, turning halfway through. Spread sauce on each toasted bun and add patties. Serve topped with tomato, cucumber, and lettuce.
